She is a goddess who, in the expressions of David Kinsley, even in the administration of the divine beings, she is eventually risky and will in general gain out of power. In relationship with different goddesses, she seems to speak to their epitomized fierceness and anger, an alarming, risky component of the celestial ladylike that is discharged when these goddesses gotten rankled or are called to partake in war and executing?. Corresponding to Shiva, she seems to assume the contrary job from that of Parvati. Parvati quiets Shiva, counterbalancing his enemy of social or ruinous propensities. It is she who brings Shiva inside the circle of family life and who, with her delicate looks, urges him to

The idea is to have the students minds free flowing with ideas and capture them as quickly as possible. It is also a great way to get the energy flowing and make the students feel equally involved. Online mind mapping tools such as  MindMeister support  real-time collaboration, which means that multiple students can work together on a mind map at the same time, each one contributing ideas from his or her own device. In MindMeister, each contribution made to the map is time stamped and marked with the student’s personal color code. In MindMeister’s History View the entire evolution of the map can then be reviewed. This allows the students to hold other group members accountable for completing their share of the assignment. No more slackers in your class! How to Brainstorm in a Mind Map Students must add the subject of their brainstorming session in the center of the mind map. As the ideas are beginning to flow, the students can then create branches stemming from the main idea in the middle. Each idea can again branch off into related sub-ideas and so on. As the ideas are being added to the mind map, they should be written in keywords that can later be expanded upon. The students should not be focusing so much on organization at this point but rather trying to record all ideas. And remember, all ideas are good ideas while brainstorming! After the brainstorming session, the students can then evaluate, vote on, and organize the ideas they’ve collected. Topics can easily be rearranged, grouped or removed. Students can make the mind map their own by adding colors, images and links related to their topics. Remember: Images are known to increase imagination! Collaboration via  Mobile Devices MindMeister offers free mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android devices which the students can use to access their maps while at home or during their commute to school. Managing Group Projects and Tasks MindMeister offers basic task management capabilities that students can use to plan school projects and assign tasks to each other. Each topic in the map can quickly be turned into a task with due date, priority and assignee. For bigger, more elaborate projects, students can use MeisterTask, MindMeister’s little brother, which also integrates with the mind mapping tool. In MeisterTask students can create visual project boards and arrange their to-dos in sections. How to get started with MeisterTask Create a project board in MeisterTask and invite students to it via email.  They can sign in with their existing MindMeister credentials. Setup the board to fit with your project’s particular needs: You can create a simple To Do Doing Done workflow or create sections for different activities. If the project you’re working on is a school newspaper for instance, your sections might be Articles Design Images General To-Dos. Create tasks in the project  and assign them to the students responsible. You can also import tasks directly from a MindMeister mind map. Add due dates to the tasks and a description if necessary. Students can complete tasks as soon as they’re done. Creating Group Presentations Students can turn their mind maps into dynamic slideshows directly in MindMeister using the built-in presentation mode. Group presentations not only allow the students to put trust in one another to properly prepare but also to present the information they worked so hard to put together. How to create a mind map presentation Once they’ve successfully created their slideshow, students can connect one of their devices to a projector and project their presentation onto a screen in front of the class while they talk. Alternatively, they can also broadcast their map to the other  students  that have the map open on their device at the same time. Sample details Pages: 4 Words: 1246 Downloads: 5 Date added: 2019/04/08 Category Society Essay Level High school Topics: Police Brutality Essay Did you like this example? A hoodie, Arizona ice tea and skittles. That was the spark that spawn into a flustering fire. On February 26, 2012 in Sanford, Florida seventeen year old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Police Brutality In Modern America" essay for you Create order The murderer, George Zimmerman. The verdict, not guilty. As the story got out and emotions ran high, people all around the country took to social media in opinions and views. Sympathy goes out to the family of victim, questions to the judicial system and historys dark past seeming to reoccur. Black Lives Matter. As time carries on the shooting of unarmed African Americans become more frequent and not from people on the street, but from our protection system. Police brutality and corruption exposure has flared all over the United States. As more unarmed shootings occur, Black Lives Matters began to turn into more than just a hashtag. Police brutality has influenced the Black Lives Matter movement in results of protest, injustice and psychological trauma. As Black Lives Matters grows as a movement, so does the mortality rate of unarmed African Americans being shot. According to the article This is How Many People Police Have Killed So Far in 2016, by Celisa Calacal published on July 5, 2016. 194 Black Americans have been killed by police so far this year, at a rate of 4.86 deaths per million. (Calacal). Two years later according to the Washington Post fatal force database, there have been 857 people shot and killed by the police as of October 1st at 5:21pm. Out of those 857 killings, 289 of them were unarmed African Americans. Police brutality is a rising problem in the Black Lives Matter movement, and though there other many factors, this has become a key subject in change. With the fatal shootings, a lot of people apart of the movement have taken this problems to the street. Protest happening nationwide in reverence of the fallen and hunger for change. As stated in the Free Speech and Protest article by Liberty-Human- Rights.org. The right to free speech and protest along with the right to form and join association or groups, are found in Articles 10 and 11 of the Humans Rights Act. But many protest have been shut down or turned violent, as tension runs high and rights are violated. A bond that has become broken between the people and the police. As A Solution to this problem protesters must stay calm and become less violent. Though adrenaline is running and anger is high, protesters must stay calm and not let these factors over take them. Freedom of speech is protected, but with exceptions. Make a difference with protest, not make situations worse. Following the shooting and riots of police officers in Dallas, Texas. Police chief David Brown states in his press conference Become part of the solution, were hiring. States the article Dallas Police Chief t o Protests by Keri Blankinger (Blankinger). Also coming to the police chiefs and having a formal agreement for the protest. Racial Injustice also plays a big role in the Black Lives Matter Movement. With a history of the justice system corrupted in cases affecting the African American American community in fairness and justice. An example is the University of Missouri Hunger Strike. African Americans teens were being threatened and harassed, as they informed the university president and nothing was done. The Universitys football team and others then began to do a hunger strike for change as two days after the strike the university President Tim Wolfe resigned. According to the news media outlets, police brutality looks the same today as it did in the 1960s. The harsh treatment towards African Americans from government officials was not uncommon then and it is not unheard of now. Today, many cases of gross murders and vicious brutality are taking place on camera. Even with solid evidence, the cry for justice by all American citizens is still not loud enough ( Blake). Huffington Posts Sharon Blake stated in her article Racial Injustice; Is America Ignoring the Truth. Other injustices include long run things such as housing. Alex Midrigal uncovers acts in his article article that made housing more complicated for African Americans. He states One of the most heinous of these policies was introduced by the creation of the Federal Housing Administration in 1934, and lasted until 1968. Otherwise celebrated for making homeownership accessible to white people by guaranteeing their loans, the FHA explicitly refused to back loans to black people or even other people who lived near black people. As TNC puts it, Redlining destroyed the possibility of investment wherever black people lived ( Midrigal). Injustices that must be addressed and changed. A solution to these injustices are petitions and laws. Things as taking solution to our judicial courts for these acts to be overturned and revised. These injustices are intolerable and unacceptable, rather it is social or any other category. By having these laws overturned, a difference can be made. And re-evalua ting who is also in power, and getting people in power that are in favor of change. Trauma is inevitable. With access to modern day technology such as social media, things such as police brutality are now exposed. Social Media is a big part of the Black Lives Matters movement, as that is how it started. There are many pros to this but also cons. Since social media is open to everyone around the world, all can see. That ranges from a child browsing on their mothers phone to a grandfather trying to keep up with what is trending. Post Traumatic stress disorder can stem from many things, and is not always visible. In these past years with all the shootings, racial profiling and harassment of African American many have come across this problem. Dr. Robert T. Carter states in his article of research that In 2001, the US Surgeon General issued a report about the status of mental health with respect to racial and ethnic minority groups, which stated that ethnic and racial disparities were likely due to racism and discrimination.1 Empiric investigations have linked racism to poor mental health and have shown that racism is stressful and compromises the mental health of persons of color ( Carter). Racial based traumatic stress is a problem that is just now getting recognized, and research is now happening. That in itself is one step forward to creating a solid solution. The Black Lives Matter movement is a movement that has literally came to life. From a hashtag to having stations international in the fight for equality and justice. Police brutality has influenced the Black Lives Matter movement in results of protest, injustice and psychological trauma. Moving forward with solutions to these problems such as making agreement with the police before peaceful protest, getting laws removed that are biased and prejudiced and continuing to research are all steps that can be made for change and hopefully solving these dilemmas completely. If these problems are not resolved there is a fear of violence and racial tension. With the history of African -Americans in America and all the factors of the past from slavery to Jim Crow laws what lies ahead is unpredictable. As a nation these problems must be executed as time starts to dwindle and patience runs this. But one must recognize they are in darkness to reach the light. The past can not be altered and this n ation can not take back time and all that has happened, but change can be made and wrongs can be made right. You can not control the wind, but you can control the sail.

Security Breaches Security Breach And Vulnerability

Charlie O’Donnell Security Breach and Vulnerability Dr. Mohammed 11/20/2014 Abstract Security breaches are occurring at a much more rapid rate in the world today. Major companies and corporations are revealing their breaches and telling the public false information. Many security breaches occur because of exploitation of vulnerabilities, exploits and attacks both internal and external within the system. Vulnerabilities are weaknesses in the requirements, design, and implementation, which attackers exploit to compromise the system. The purpose of this paper is to understand the vulnerabilities, framework, and types of attacks for security requirements and analysis centered on preventing a breach. The framework shows†¦show more content†¦In security engineering, a vulnerability causes errors and weakness to the IT systems. Environment vulnerabilities in combination with an internal or external threats leads to a security failure. For example, vulnerabilities may result from input validation errors, memory safety violations, weak passwords, viruses, or other malware. In recent years, software companies and government agencies have become particularly aware of security risks that vulnerabilities impose on the system security and have started analyzing and reporting detected vulnerabilities of products and services (Ogut, Cavusoglu Raghunathan (2008). Internet and Web-based applications have made it possible to access information from anywhere. This new capability not only brings convenience to the authorized users but also motivates attackers alike. Only prevention based security measures that rely on access control or even fine-grained access control schemes, firewall and encryption, often fail to protect sensitive information against novel attacks. In view of this, a lot of emphasis is being given on strengthening intrusion detection systems for protecting secure information from unintended users. Related Work / Literature Review Information security breaches are often classified into the following categories: breaches of information confidentiality (breaches that allow unauthorized users access to confidential information); breaches related to information availability (breaches that prevent

Meal Plan Cost Analysis Free Essays

Nancy StamperSeptember 6, 2012 HSS 303/05Meal Plan/Cost Analysis My meal plan is a bit unusual in that I am temporarily living with family after a experiencing a broken relationship and selling my condo. I am not required or expected to contribute to the food costs of the household. However, I do pick up items from the grocery store on occasion and I go out to dinner with friends. We will write a custom essay sample on Meal Plan Cost Analysis or any similar topic only for you Order Now My school schedule is such that I usually eat my meals before and after classes and do not eat at the offerings on campus. I rarely eat fast food or get food from vending machines. During my 7 day food log time frame I spent 42. 93 eating out and around 48. 2 at the grocery. My guilty pleasure is Agave. It is rather expensive but I prefer to use it in my coffee or tea instead of sugar. It has a lower glycemic index and is sweeter than sugar. I prefer the taste. I do like to eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I prefer to buy what is in season as it tastes better and is usually priced better. In my past experience it is better to plan your meals around what is in season and on sale that to plan your meals and hope for the best in prices and availability. When eating out, I tend to choose what I want instead of what is healthiest. Eating out is a social event for me. I like to relax and enjoy myself which, for me, does not include analyzing food choices. Because I am frugal (or just plain cheap) I rarely order drinks when out. I cannot justify spending 2. 95 for a glass of iced tea or 7. 50 for a glass of wine when I can get the whole bottle for 6. 99. One thing that I could to do to improve my eating out habits that would be both healthier and more cost effective is to ask the server to box up half of the meal. Restaurant portions are much larger than we should be consuming. This would prevent me from overeating and provided me with another meal for the next day. Overall I am a good shopper. I purchase seasonal food to take advantage of better pricing and quality. I shop strictly from a list so I do not over buy. I prepare my list from planned menus and advertised sales. I use coupons to purchase only those items I would normally purchase rather than purchasing an item because I have a coupon. I could improve upon my eating out habits by making healthier choices and eating less. The real benefit of my current meal plan is that my sister is a very good cook and usually prepares dinner every night and she usually makes healthy meals. I ust help clean the kitchen! The Nation-State Is An Outmoded Concept. Discuss. Essays

The Nation-State Is An Outmoded Concept. Discuss. So deeply ingrained is the tendency to funnel society into the mold prepared for it by the nation-state that we cannot conceive of societies except as thoroughly congruent with the state, as if the teleology of all social entities were the state. (Said 1994: 350) This truism constitutes a succinct expression of the pre-eminence of the nation-state in global societal organisations. The world is largely divided up into these unitary, enclosed identities whose legitimacy is derived the ?nation' or the ?people' as the sole source of sovereignty. Obviously, the degree to which the state can claim such legitimacy varies a great deal, but at the very least the state claims to represent the national interest. Yet, the nation-state as the overarching meta-paradigm of how a cohesive society should organise itself political is currently being undermined under several fronts, whilst, as evident in the wilful destruction of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the bloody emergence of newly created nation-states in the region, where it is being revived its worst qualities are revealed. The modern theory of the state rests upon the nation as source of sovereignty and legitimacy. A political arrangement between society and the government towards the protection of citizens and their rights. Hobbes perceived the state as ?an artificial life', a conscious, willed construct. For by Art is created that great Leviathan called a common-wealth, or State which is but an artificial Man; though of greater stature and strength than the Naturall, for whose protection and defence it was intended; and in which, the Sovereignty is an Artificial soul, as giving life and motion to the whole body. (Hobbes 1951: 81) Ronen Palan argues, from a perspective that seeks to place technological innovation at the centre of our understanding of changing international relations, that the Hobbesian use of metaphors of the state as an organic entity or as ?automata', ?engines that move themselves by springs and wheels as doth a watch' (ibid.: 81) establishes a model that encourages us to conceive of the globe as being partitioned into highly organised, bounded and self-enclosed societies. Further from this is the tendency to see the geographic area which the state claims sovereignty over as the actualisation of the social body, thus determining that the defence of the national territory as the primary concern of the state (Talalay et al, 1997: 17). Arising from this organic/mechanical conception is a sort of anthropomorphism of the state where it is held to have a rational intelligence as well as desires that whilst comparative to that of a person are conceived on a far grander scale. Thus as an individual may seek to accumulate possessions or elevate their status within society the state sought its own self aggrandisement through ?the accumulation of power and prestige' (ibid.: 17). Palan propounds that in regarding the state as a person its nature becomes self-evident, the ?reason of state' and its underlying rational reveals itself to our gaze. Conversely, if we desist in our treatment of the state as a person, and the unitary coherence that such a metaphor suggests ?the entire realist edifice crumbles' (ibid.: 17). The rise of the ideology of nationalism is crucial in understanding the progression of the state. David Miller usefully describes a sense of nationality as consisting of five essential elements: shared belief and mutual committment; exetended in history; active in character; connected to a particular territory; marked off from other communities by its distinct public culture. These qualities, according to Miller, mark nationalism as unique to other forms of public identity (Miller 1995: 27). The nationalist ideology is one which seeks to provide a narrative of political legitimacy to the state (Clarke et al 1999: 9). It seeks to construct and promote a homogenised identity as unifying force for society the basis of which has been summarised by Anthony Smith as geo-political, religious-ideological and ethno-cultural in nature. This triangulation of forces, from which the mythic national force has been presumed to be emergent, is a difficult construct, but upon it rests the derivation of the authority of the state. This is exemplified by the declaration of 1791 by the National Assembly at the birth of the first modern liberal state, France. Article
